Ricky R. Zieba
OBITUARY RICKY R. ZIEBA May 31, 1987 - June 24, 2009 the tender age of twenty-two, in the prime of his life, Ricky fell asleep at the wheel while driving home late at night. Ricky was the much beloved, cherished son of Nikki & Richard and the very best friend and brother to Jason. Ricky will be eternally missed by his grandmother Jo Anne Lapointe, Aunts Linda and Terri, Uncles Bob and Richard, and cousins Mathieu, Rob, Jonathan, Stephen, Kimmi & Rickie. Ricky throughout his life had acquired so very many friends - on the field and off. His warm smile and charisma drew you close and secured you in place. Once you were his friend it was for life. He was a force of nature, loyal to the core. His great love, Roxanne, who taught him to enjoy life and who helped him live it to its fullest. She was a blessing sent from God, his soul mate. Such strong love could not be kept apart. And to his Trois Riviere Family, Yves, Lise & Rachel Rheaume. Words cannot possibly express our combined losses. Our grief is inescapable. We will miss his razor-sharp humor, his strength, his smirk, his unwavering determination, his positive energy and most of all his beautiful charm. Children are not ours to keep. They are on loan for a short while. We are grateful and most blessed that you came into our lives for a reason and a short season. We will continue to love you every day. Visitation will take place at Yves Legare funeral home located at 14370 Boul. Pierrefonds (corner St. Jean) on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 from 4 to 10 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas A Becket Parish located at 4320 Ste. Anne St., Pierrefonds, Quebec. Burial will be at Cote-des-Neiges cemetery, Section 0L1200 immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please make a donation in support of the Concordia Football team

Thanks for the post. Dealing with the loss of a loved one is always hard, but good funeral homes can help lessen the hurt. You just have to take it day by day.

BRIAN THOMAS GEAREY It is with heavy hearts that we sadly announce the passing of Brian at St. Boniface Hospital on May 18, 2015 at the age of 67 years. Brian will be lovingly remembered and cherished by his wife Joan, son Kevin, daughter Laurie (Garrett) Nash, grandchildren Brooke (Tyler), Matthew, Nicholas, sister Debbie Gearey, brothers-in law Preston (Sandie) Taylor, Graham (Helen) Taylor and their respective families. Brian will be remembered for his great loyalty and devotion to his family and friends. Throughout his adult life he gave generously of himself to various community organizations, clubs, and charitable causes. In recent years Brian was fortunate to experience the joy of several travelling adventures, such as cruising throughout the Caribbean, exploring the vast beauty of Hawaii, and feeling the thrills of Las Vegas. Close to home, he enjoyed the fellowship of the Walleye Angler's Association of Manitoba (WAAM) Club which enabled him to revel in his love of sport fishing and boating. It was Brian's wish to return to Hawaii one day, as this was his newly discovered happy place. Therefore we will make this dream a reality and bring his cremains along with us when we also make our way back. We wish to express our sincere gratitude for the care and devotion provided by the various medical professionals throughout Brian's immense health challenges over the years. A celebration of Brian's life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests that donations be directed to either The Canadian Diabetes Association of Manitoba or The Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation. FAYLE, Thelma (nee Andreasen) November 17, 1920 - November 23, 2020 After 65 years in Montreal and 35 years in Victoria, Thelma celebrated a lively, fun 100th in (safe covid) contact with her big band of cheering family and friends. She fell into a final peaceful sleep six days later. Thelma was predeceased by her husband Robert Fayle and Kaare Tandberg, her wonderful partner of 18 years. Thelma leaves her children: Barb (Colin), Judee (Ken), Thelma (Daryl), Les (Teresa), Heather and Robert (Rita). In addition: Doris (Oriano), Eric, Lisa (Torgeir) and Doug (Mindy). And there was her Sons of Norway friends, Ukranian cultural-center chums, Newfoundland pals and Bingo buddies; with caller Bert who used to stop in the middle of calling and say: "my girlfriend just walked in, hi Thelma". So many adopted family members called her Ma, Mom or Grandma. And she loved you all. Imagine; she named everyone in her prayers every night! She was our role-model of unconditional love . Special thanks to daughters Barb and Thelma and especially to grandson Corey - Mum's closest caregivers. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Victoria Sons of Norway Ladies Auxiliary (via Jette Denluck).
