I know that Lorne Bryant and Lynn Yetman(good friend of mine who was posting as Levis Jeans last yr.) had a daughter together back in the early 90's. You remember Lynn, and her sister Glow Worm, they were lots of fun on this site. Lynn was the one who introduced me to V.C Wendy

Still seems strange when I see the amount of People I knew ,who have passed away,in what seems way to early.....but I suppose that's just the age we are at.........Thanks for the info...........    hf&rv

Hi Bev:   Is that the John Ferguson that used to live at 442 Egan and then on Melrose, just below Verdun. He would likely be about 57 or 58.   Gord Gibbons Brampton, Ont. (formerly 444 Egan)

the lad MSN said...

Dannyb   Can you tell me is Lynn is on this site? I am curious to what happened to Danny.   Thanks Lad

Met up with him at the last (only?) VHS reunion -- he catered it.  Lived in Cote St. Paul at the time, and ran his catering business out of a tiny, derelict storefront in old Verdun (can't remember the name of the street, but it was near the ramp to the Champlain Bridge off Wellington St./Lasalle Blvd.).  Caters to lots of performers at the Forum (or whatever it's called now - where the Habs play) -- big rock stars.  Also does security for some of the big shows there.   Still single, has seen his share of the seedy side of life.  Sad his life turned out that way, I always thought he was a nice guy...

the lad MSN said...

Hi   Think Tommy is on Regina around corner from BBQ Rest. Last time we talked he lived in Cote St Paul and was having some of the guys for bbq and few pops to watch big fight on pay per view..while ago that one..but seemed to be happy then..laughing telling some good stories...have not seen him in long time...except when he passed me going in to dep. Did not have chance to talk to him..still looked the same...minus the cigar....   Lad

Running his own successful business doesn't sound so sad to me!?

I think we were talking about Johnny Ferguson, I know a Roy Ferguson he lives with his family in Chateauguay and is married with 3 children to Vicki Wrobleski,.  My grandson used to play hockey with his son.

the lad MSN said...

Hi   Speaking of the name Ferguson..anyone know anything about Gordie Ferguson?     Lad

theomer MSN said...

Hi, Cathy,   Just curious about your post re Heather MacDowell.  I'm wondering if we're talking about the same Heather.  The Heather I knew spelled her last name McDowell and went to VHS.  She would be in her early sixties now.  If this is the same person, may I ask you how you came to know her?  Many thanks.   Regards, dear members,   Jack

cathyart1 MSN said...

Hi Jack-my mistake-I believe it was KAREN  who married Roy-she's younger than I am so perhaps Heather is her Mom? I'l try to find out...sorry about the confusion!

Thank you, Cathy.  That would be much appreciated.   T.G.I.F.!   Jack

I just read in the Habs Today column in the Gazette, that another old Hab ,.has checked out:   Kenny Reardon Kenny Reardon
Courtesy beehivehockey.com Hockey, and the Canadiens family, have lost another longtime great with the passing of Ken Reardon at age 86. Mr. Reardon, a rugged, virtually indestructible defenceman with the club during the 1940s, had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The two-time Stanley Cup champion served a distinguished post-hockey career with the Canadiens as a vice-president for 15 years, during which time Montreal won five more league championships. Mr. Reardon, one of the sharpest judges of talent during his day, was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1966. From his biography at legendsofhockey.net: "Reardon retired before he turned 30, partially because of the many injuries he'd sustained due to his style of play. Even an incomplete list of his scars and breaks is daunting. He never seemed to allow himself to heal. One shoulder injury was supposed to keep him in the press box for three weeks but he returned to the Canadiens' lineup after only 10 days. He attempted to hit an opponent in his first game back, missed, and slammed the tender shoulder into the boards. He completed the game and then asked the team physician to look at the throbbing arm. "It's your head I should be examining, not your shoulder," replied the doctor.   ..........................................see ya Ken thanks for the entertainment & dedication to your sport..................ciao
