Steamies

Bob

I am about a 4hr drive from Oshawa it's a long
drive to get a steamie, however I could get there on my way down to
T.O.

Do you know the name of the place.

I think I should buy a steamie machine and open a
stand down by the water. I wonder if it would take off here in North
Bay?

Hi Lynn

I went for my lunch time steamie today. The name of teh place is Montreal Deli....it's tiny...only stools to sit on ...about 5 of them. They do lots of take out business.

Location is Bond Street in Oshawa. Bond is an east - west street and runs parallel to King, one block north of King. From the 401 take the Simcoe street exit. Go north. At King street is a CIBC office building. Tens stories or so....brown building. ...on your left side. Go one more block north to Bond. Turn left on Bond. The restaurant is on the northwest corner...second from the corner. Parking on the street. Just a "hole in the wall" but the owner / operator is a nice guy who works hard.

BTW, King is Hwy 2 in Oshawa. So if you are taking highway 2, adjust these directions accordingly.

Enjoy
