Film About Verdun

My name is Rob Santaguida.  I’m a documentary filmmaker and a former resident of Verdun.  I’m presently making a documentary film about life in Verdun. (Perhaps you have seen my camera crew wandering around town in the last few days.) The film is sponsored by the Government of Quebec, Government of Canada and the City of Montreal.  I’m still looking for more characters for the film, and I am very open to suggestions for events that will be going on in the area in the coming month.  If you have any recommendations or for more information or if you would like to appear in the film, please don’t hesitate to reach me at roberto_santaguida(at)hotmail(dot)com.  Thank you.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.  I'm just in production now, so it should be ready for spring.  Anything that you like to see in it?

I'd like to see some of the history of the Auditorium. In the seventies we were treated to some excellent wrestling "shows" with the likes of Sailor White, Eduard Carpentier, Mad Dog Vachon, Killer Kowalsky, The Green Hornets, and Giant Jean Ferrer. We also looked forward to free skating (indoors) on Christmas Day (might have been boxing day). The boardwalk is always mentioned in trips down memory lane too. Be sure to stop in at the Verdun Historical Society. I'm sure they would be happy to be of assistance. Good luck and I can't wait to see what you come up with.
