who is now the mayor of Verdun..I know for years and years it was one of the O'reillys, George I think..( or maybe it was not mayor, something else.)..The rest of the O'riellys were firemen...Good family they were..They all served for Verdun. John

HappyDi2,..........this picture of your husband (to be at the time),......with George O'reilley,......are interesting ,cause of the area the photo was taken in,........section 13 ,in the Verdun Auditorium,........and look at the boards,...... The Boards, came by their name honestly, when you look at the rink boards, and see that they are in fact a series of separate boards.......a very good old look ,that we have not seen for many years,....as most 'boards' these days are a molded or formed piece of plywood..... Do you or Paul have any other pictures fromthis time ,that you could share with us...........................Verdunstuff is neat stuff.............hope to see more. cause you know what they say More is Les...........hahahahhaa

Hi HappyDi2,   It would be interesting to know what the trophy represented! It appears as though your husband was either a referee or coach by the fact he sports a whistle. I assume the gals in the background were players. Please do let us know. Great photo of the late Mayor presenting the trophy.   Gary Victoria, BC
