Clothing,shoes, from the 70's

Hey Ladies!
This one is for us, a change from the Cars & Trains the Men folk are constantly chating about.
I'm wondering how many of you, like me still have some of the clothes you wore back then?
I have a few items, but one favorite dress I wore to a cousins Birthday Party. I think I was about 19 so that is 28 yrs ago and 3 sons and today I can wear it again. I also have a pair of High Heel Shoes I bought at one of the famous side walk sales back then & aside from having to glue the soles down last Xmas they are still in good condition. Guess that was when they made things to last QUALITY not QUANITY. Lucky for us some of our styles have come back, just don't tell the kids that. haha.

Hello!
No way man, Thankfully I did get some of my personal belongings back
after the last marriage. It is also amazing what I've accumulated in just
71/2 yrs. Believe it or not I've got the rings from when my 2 youngest sons
were born and that is going back to 84& 90. The one in 84 just had his 1st
son in March so he will now have it to put with his sons. I also still have
a Drumstick from the Band the Whackers that played at one of our Dances at
VHS.

No kidding about fitting into 30 year old clothes. I just recently got rid of the suit I wore when I got married in 1976. If I could have spliy myself in two perhaps one of the halves could have fit into it.                        Ralph.

Hi Reggie,   When did "pack rat" become gender specific. Just kidding of course. I have always been a "Pack Rat". My excuse "Might need it someday".   Ruth

Good Morning Chris!
So true and they think they have thier own styles with showing thier
bellies etc.... such a laugh especially when I pull out the same cloothes
and tell them how old they are. Also the Afro's coming back around here, I
had one in 1980. And the long hair was around back when. Now I go into
Walmart and the tops with the long sleeves and hanging at the cuffs are back
also.

the clothes we wore back then are back in style and the kids are paying big bucks for them. my daughter thinks its so cool to walk around showing her belly but gets upset when my mom tells her your dressing just like your mom used to. Walmart and the tops with the long sleeves and hanging at the cuffs are back
also. i remember wearing those all the time, my daughter came home home the other day with 4 of them. one of each color, I went into my closet and got mine out and my daughter was like mom when did you get those. i laughed till i cried and told her about 30 years ago.. glad i kept a lot of my clothes

I remember buying a pair of white "go-go" boots from Woolworths on Wellington for $2.99 when I was at Woodland school...and Hot Pants, remember those??? Elephant Pants were a Huge Fashion Statement for a while...I just remember getting all of those horrible salt stains from Verdun winters around the cuffs because you weren't cool unless your pant legs covered your boots completely and dragged on the ground...so we sat in class all day being wet from our feet to our knees ...but we looked great, didn't we?LOL
