Jean Marie, Thanks so much for the Ottawa O Train & Ottawa redcar streetcar. I have a good buddy I grewup with who's retired in Ottawa, I'll pass this on to him. Did you ever ride those Ottawa redcars? I can remember seeing the streetcars in Cornwall, Ontario from the train while travelling to Toronto to see relatives. The Cornwall streetcars had a loop at the CNR station. I would have loved to ride the Cornwall streetcars but never did. Thanks again-Walter

Thanks Jean Marie. I remember visiting my friend Murray Wardrobe who got a job as a disk jockey at CJBB in Cornwall, Ontario in 1962. At that time the trolley busses were still running along with little electric freight engines pulling freight cars through the streets. I asked if they ever ran the streetcars on occasion as the tracks & overhead wire were still in place & used by the electric engines. No one had seen streetcars in a couple of years however. I did have a 10oz bottle of KIK-Cola. Remember we only had quart bottles KIK-Cola in Montreal. I also had a new beverage that had just come to Canada and chose Cornwall as it's first market. That was DrPepper-Walter
I first had Dr.Pepper in North Carolina in 1965. I loved it then and still do. The diet version even tastes pretty good.

Thanks Jean Marie. Cornwall should have started running tourist streetcars in the nineteen seventies while they still had the tracks & trolley wires. Cornwall is in bad shape today with not much going for it. A lot of people would visit if they could ride around town in an old streetcar system-Walter
Cornwall is still a very nice looking town. I was there on June 30th of this year. Yes, it has had its' share of store abandonments, and loss of jobs, but the people that I spoke to were all very pleasant. I felt very good with the display of Canada Flags that were to be seen everywhere. We don't see a lot of this in La Belle Province. One thing positive about Cornwall, is that it smells MUCH BETTER than it did about 30 years ago when I first went there for a drive on my 1973 Honda 350 motorcycle.
Hey Chickentaco2000 That funny smell in Cornwall was from the sulfer used in making the matches . It was one of Cornwall's biggest plants along the St.Lawrence . With all those lumber mills . Steve
