Prayer's

Good Evening Group!
Just would like you all to keep our brother Bill
(Willie) McK. in your prayers. He was in an accident last night. So far aside from losing his left leg just above the knee he is hanging in. He was on his Bike. Also pray for the rest of the family especially our Mom Reita and you Manager Maggie McK as this has hit her pretty hard with an other accident that just happened in her home town.
Thanks Tiny Tina

Jim while I appreciate you posting this, I'm hoping that you have cleared it with the McK's first, right?

Irish....I'm very sorry, and maybe I was wrong....but I took the liberty of deleting your post until I get a go-ahead from maggie and other McK's. I didn't think it was appropriate at this time, sorry. Hope you understand...

Car driver dead after vehicle flips
Motorcyclists critical after losing legs JIM WILKES
STAFF REPORTER

The driver of a car is dead after his vehicle flipped six times when he tried unsuccessfully to pass a group of motorcyclists in west-end Brampton. Two members of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club's Peel chapter had parts of their left legs amputated after the car slammed into them on Mayfield Rd. Tuesday night. Bill McKiernon, nicknamed "Star Cruiser" and first officer of the Peel club, is in critical condition after his motorcycle was pushed into a ditch by the careering car. His left leg was amputated above the knee early yesterday at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. The left leg of a female passenger was amputated below the knee at Sunnybrook hospital. Ellen Blanchette, in her 40s and known as "The Newf," is also in critical condition. A dozen motorcycles were riding from Brampton to rural Erin when a Monte Carlo tried to pass them and a van on westbound Mayfield Rd., just west of Chinguacousy Rd., shortly after 7 p.m., according to police. Ontario Provincial Police said the Monte Carlo had passed most of the group when an oncoming truck forced the car to go off the north shoulder, where it fishtailed on loose gravel and rocketed back across the road and into the motorcycle. Witnesses said the car flipped at least six times before finally coming to rest in a field. "He just shot out to pass the van behind us and I guess he didn't realize how many bikes there were," said Larry Fielding, a Southern Riders member who was the last in line. He said he could see the car slam into McKiernon's bike. Fielding pulled up at the accident scene and saw his buddy lying in the ditch. "I thought he was dead, but there was blood pumping out of his leg so I got down on my knees to put pressure on it to stop the bleeding," said Fielding, 56. "This has shaken us up pretty bad." He said McKiernon is one of the founding members of Southern Cruisers in Canada, which has chapters across North America. McKiernon, 51, retired last year as director of a pharmaceutical company in Etobicoke. He's been a leader in scouting for more than 20 years and is part of an Oakville-based barbershop quartet. "He's a great guy and is well liked by everyone," Fielding said. "In our club, we're basically a big family, a fraternity of people who like to socialize and ride motorcycles." Al Robertson, who oversees scouting programs at North Bramalea United Church, called McKiernon an "excellent leader. He works great with the kids." Caledon OPP are investigating.

Gosh, I know that area very well as I live in Erin. When I commute to work, I sometimes take that very route on the way home. It's convenient when I need a few grocerie items at the Sobie's on Mayfield & hwy #10.  My thoughts and prayers to your brother and all of the injured.   Carole

Hi TinyTina,   Like Carole, I pass that way often. I'll certainly be thinking of this road differently from now on.  The power of prayer is great! Please add mine to all the others.   Take care,   Art
