Michigans in Plattsburgh, N.Y

Someone mentioned Michigans last week. Here is a website to check out for those who might be interested in re-creating them.

Interesting site   RuthArmstrong    Thanks for posting it..........There's not much we can't find on the internet is there.........I Remember the Norman's  Michigans, they were pretty good,..........they made a decent sauce.........but as I said last week,I had one from a Lafleur Hot Dog joint on Wellington,.......way down, near the old LaBelle BBQ place,..........and they weren't that good........maybe next time I visit Montreal/Verdun,......I'll try a Norman's one again........I always love to visit Montreal, cause you know your coming out of there a little heavier than when you arrive...........hahahahaha   Have Fun & Remember Verdun

Hi  JMH  ,  I know that one very well as I used to live at 4242 Wellington.(literally right next door) .......I was there on Opening day many times to get the Free fries,Hot dogs.......Every Norman's store when it opened had Free food the first day........and a few of our members know all about that..........the other store was on Verdun Av btwn.  3rd & 4th........AWe went three for there Grand Opening as well,........you see as kids we knew of all the deals happening around town,..........hahahah but the actual one where I bought 'Michigans' was the one on Centrale...in VilleLasalle,.......near Lacharite park ........I used to work at the Texaco at 3rd & Champlain,..........so many a day we went down there to pick up our lunch,..........if we didn't go to the 'cinquante' bar 50......at 3rd & Centrale,..above the IGA .   or Centrale Pizza on the opposite corner of 3rd & Centrale.         ...........but the one on Wellington ,I was in  alot as a kid........I would sit on my front gallery, and could smell the Fries & Vinegar, from all the patrons who would walk down Wellington eating those fries.........Remember the brown bag ,with a little square cardboard box in the bottom,.........and loaded with vinegar & salt of course.........Thanks for that memory    JMH          Have Fun & Remember Verdun

Hi Jean-Marie,   When I scroll down on the address that was highlighted I notice 2 churches. The first was the Korean United, 177 Deleglife and the second Eglise du Nouvel Age,226 Berlioz Ave. I have never heard of these streets in Verdun. Are they new or just street name changes. I would appreciate hearing back on this.   Thank You   Reggie Paine
