Hi  BobB    what's the address of the other site, maybe I've been on it , but it may be a new one for me to check out......always like checking out new stuff... I've found a lot of stuff over the years ,but don't usually save most of them , as I figure I can always find it again,or something like it . as the topics pop up........Have Fun & Remember Verdun

Hi Les   I think you are referring to my post where I said I was looking at pictures on another "board".  Actually it was on this site, but another message board where you actually had posted the pictures of Ben's and Dunn's restaurants.  Sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear on what I was saying.    But, while I'm talking about pictures, I was just looking at the ones that you posted...the B&W shots from the mountain.  Les, they are wonderful.  I love B&W photography.  Shen I was in my later teens in Montreal I became hooked on B&W (with some encouragement from an uncle who was a great photographer).  Your shots bring me right back to those days.  The sunlight on a couple of those shots looks like later afternoon.  I was going to post a message complimenting you on those pics and then I saw your message to me.  You must have a treasure trove of great pictures.  Don't stop posting them.  I'll have to rummage around some old boxes and start to resurrect some of my old shots as well.   Thanks again for the effort.   BobB

Hi Bob ....Ok  I  knew I have been posting all kinds of pics over the last few years, and I usually delete them after a day or so ...with the idea that everyone has probably seen them ,and so as not to eat up my allotted storage space(on the site) but I have always encouraged anyone to save the pictures they like ......and so in consequence many were put into some of the picture albums on this site.and I've forgotten what is there....I try not to duplicate, but sometimes I just can't Remember what's been posted......I will always try to make sure the photo's are credited to who ever took them ( where possible) or they will have there own copyright marked right on them eg: museums ,etc etc ......   but Yes I have a lot of photo's .......and I too like B&W shots,....they seem to 'Capture ' the shot in 'Time' ........I'll try to find some of my old stuff, but I sort of do 'things' as they present themselves to me .....(then I don't have to think too much........hahahahahah  )but I would really like to see some great old photo's of the past......We have 500 memebers approx' and I know there are a lot of shoeboxes out there full of memories, both B&W, and of course Colour...........So if any members who read this ,and have been thinking,Ahhhh they wouldn't want to see this.......Wrong.....We would love to see any pics....because everyone of us can look at a picture of Verdun/Montrel ......cause we've all been all over that city..and can Relate to anything posted.......and I guess when you look at it All our 'Collective History's' ........are what's made us who we are today.......Have Fun & Remember Verdun........
