Hello All

Just wanted to hello, I finally found this site. I am one of the few that made the trek back to Montreal and I've been back since 1988.

Cheers

Welcome to the site Hugh,    you'll most likely run into some familiar names here..............there seems to be a fair amount of Verdun/Montrealers,   who have either gone back or in some cases never left........we've got members on this site from all over the world..........We all seem to come across this site sooner or later.......Hope you've got some stories to tell (  and like the rest of us , probably some that still can't be repeated...........hahaha) .............Have Fun & Remember Verdun

Welcome Hugh. This a great site for reuniting old friends.
I haven't been back to Verdun for too many years and recall many good
old times by reading the posts here.
My family lived on 2nd Avenue for 22 years (1941 -- 1963).
Take care,
Bill Cooper.

Welcome Hugh!  I lived in Verdun from 1950-1978 at which time I moved West to Calgary, Alberta.  My husband and I are leaving on Tuesday to fly to Montreal for about 10 days.  I already have a list made of where I want to eat LOL  Anyone want me to take pics of anything in particular?  This is my husband's first trip to Montreal.  He just immigrated here from Texas at the end of June.  He is just as anxious as I am:-)   Connie Coleman

Thanks Les.  Believe it or not, I had not forgotten Dilallo Burgers.  Hope they are still as good as they always were.  I can taste the Bar B Barn Ribs now and Woodland Pizza.  I can feel the pounds coming on already too     Connie C

Hi Connie. Hope you have a great trip back to the old hometown. I almost wish Billie and I were going. Oh well, I still have the memories. If you see anyone I might know, say hello for us. Love you. "Uncle" Winston

Hi There Hug Nuggets   I just drop by here occasionally, Nice to see you found it.   I left Verdun in '76 with the rest of the refugees and been in Brampton just about since then.   Lot's of people are in and out of the group here. A great way of meeting up with old friends. Hope to hear from you soon.   Bill (Willie) McKiernon
