The radio report this morning states the police received a hot tip, and so they are checking out some blood stains in a garage. They have a test that can still produce valid results after 30 years even. As for the remains.........they were found in Longueiul way back then. This new story of today is solely about a possible venue of attack.

I was interested in finding information about the case as I remember hearing about this along time ago. I was about 10 then and I still remember everyone talking about it. New clues in 1975 murder
MONTREAL - Montreal and Longueuil police are searching a Pointe-St-Charles garage for evidence in connection with a murder that happened almost 30 years ago.
On March 29, 1975, Sharon Prior left her home in the evening to meet friends. Her body was found two days later in a Longueuil field. Sharon Prior's family has been waiting to find out what happened to her for almost 30 years. Police got a warrant to search the Pointe-St-Charles garage after receiving a tip. They are using new technology to find blood traces so they can conduct genetic tests. "We have reason to believe that this girl could have been at this place between March 29 and April 1, 1975," says Elaine Gagnon of Longueuil police. "That's why we are doing the preparation because we have a warrant." The victim's mother, Yvonne Prior, hopes that this police investigation will shed light on what happened. Police in Longueuil are asking anyone with information about the death of Sharon Prior to call 1-800-711-1800.
