Woodland or Verdun Catholic

Just wondering if anyone went to either Woodland Elementary or Verdun Catholic

Hi Lady Elaine. I went to Woodland School for grade 7, I had Mr. Coleman (what a cutie he was then too) Then I went to the Woodland Annex(e?) for grade 8. I believe it was the last year that the Annexe was there. Years '71 - 73 I think hehe...Getting old...lost some brain cells :-P Luv, Sharon

I had Mrs Baldwin in 6th I think it was and Mr. Wood Went to the annex ..Mrs Brown Then on to the BIG HOUSE...VHS.  Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.

hey,i went to woodland school in the mid to late 60's and to the annex and then to vhs.i also had mrs baldwin but in grade 5.   bim   hey windsor are u sure u had baldwin in 6 grade i always thought she was a career grade 5 teacher.

Wouldn't bet my life on the 6th . grade thing you might be right. And Mr. WOOD could have been Mr. Woods. The 60's were not so good to me.

BimMiles   I went in 1963 after moving from the Point. I had some trouble with two guys David Yardley and Edward Low?? After we had a little talk things went smoothley for me.         Ralph

I went to Woodland School.  I remember having Mrs. McKnight, Mrs. Coffin and Miss Wyatt (she was such a sweetie).  Anyone else remember them?

Its Windsor Station All I know about Edward Low is that he was a bully and liked to pick on people. He finaly picked the wrong person and stayed quite after that. My fanily name is Morton

Hi Went to Verdun Catholic and graduated in 1966.  Lived there until 2002 when I retired and moved with my husband to Ontario.    K. Neil

I went to Verdun Catholic for only a few years but graduated from Riverside Park in 99.

I was there till 69. I had some great teachers. Miss Inder (sp?) in grade 1, Miss Hykendorff..(again Sp??)....she would have the "good" students of the day rub her shoulders while she read a story to the class...I agree about miss wyatt, i think she was one of my favourites..she retired the year my class, miss mckweon..(red hair and temper to match..)

Hmmmm....I had an uncle Skippy Burchill, who I know played hockey and actually played a year in the major leagues I think. I wonder if there is any relation. He was married to my auntie Myra. Skippy was my grandfather's brother. Luv, Sharon *

hi sharon skippy burchell was a good old hockey player from back in the day.i played with his son frankie went out with his daughter colleen.there was a couple of other sister marty(myrna) and an older one.he left montreal at one time i think it was to coach hockey in the usa in baltimore i think.that was in the late 60searly 70s. my dad played hockey with skippy   have a great day   bim

Yep so that was my uncle then, may he R.I.P. Passed away several years ago, and then my Auntie Myra went just last year I heard. I heard that he was a great hockey player in his day too. Thanks Bim. Luv, Sharon

Does anyone remember the grade 3 teachers at Woodland school in 1953.I remember all my teachers in all grades except 3.
