Off Topic: The Superbowl Boob Fiasco..

Okies, I know that this has nothing to do with Verdun, but nobody has mentioned it and I would like to know all of your opinions on the "boob incident" that happened with Janet Janet at the Superbowl on Sunday....
Ok here's my POV on the situation....
First of all, it's obvious that the girl had a pasty of sorts, and....if you saw the episode on tv or any of the multitude of pics now all over the Net, did you see the HARDWARE she was wearing?? That ain't any typical thing that you would just wear
everyday...this thing is like a sunburst that almost completely covered the area .
As I see it, this thing was planned from the get-go. She wouldn't have worn something like that unless it was gonna be shown.  And the
statement that it was "wardrobe malfunction"? That's just BS, man...her red lace bra was not "supposed" to have come off with the leather part of her costume? Get real. Bras do NOT come apart like that just from being tugged on, ya know? And if you look at Justin's face in the
pic, he doesn't really look all that surprised, does he?
NOT to mention...isn't it ironic and convenient that the day or two after all the publicity about it that Janet Jackson's next CD happened to come out, huh? Yeah....accident.....sure...
I DO understand an inquiry into it because the Super Bowl IS a family tradition and it WAS still prime time when it happened....but hell....by the FEDS? A little much, ya know? LOL Funny too that the streaker who was there at prime time's day of fame was put on the sidelines haha
Anyone else is welcome to post their POV too! Please DO!
Luv, Sharon

Hi star gazer,  I think a lot of people need to get a life and stop complaining about a little boob, or a lot of boob. As if that corrupted our children. The way everybody in the media is talking, you would think they were having oral sex on the stage. And as far as time delays it would not have done much to protect the spectators from that eye burning experience. Maybe next year they will have Paris Hilton do the halftime show. At least they won't have to worry that her boob will pop out. Dannyb

While I understand and do agree with your point to a certain extent, Danny, you must remember that there were a LOT of kids of all ages watching. These kids also idolize Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson. I think he and she had a responsibility to those kids to not be lewd ya know? Kids tend to emulate their idols and having something like that done by Janet and Justin might make kids think that it's "cool" to do these things. Which it is NOT. Understand where I'm coming from?  Hi Star Gazer, The way I see it is if the people in the media did not make such a big deal about this it would have went right buy most kids eyes, it is seen every day in music video land.I think it was not near as bad as the lip lock between Britney and Madonna, now that sent the wrong message to the kids. There are kids as young as 3 years old grabing their crutch when they pretend to be these stupid stars and people actually laugh and think it is cute. I guess we can thank the Jackson's for that. What happened here was that they wanted free advertising and the media fell hook line and sinker. Kids see this stuff all the time on music videos its not a big deal in this generation. They got exactly what they ordered when they got these pop stars in front of a huge crowd on live television. Or are we all to believe that they did not know that they all act like a bunch of perverts anyway. When I was a kid we worried more about the sound of the music than the way the singer looked. Dannyb-

Hey Guys and Gals, With all this talk about boob/sex /tv, when I was at work last night I heard about the little girl in Fla. Makes me sick. Maybe all this sex/tv/ crap has gone to far. OK the guy was a sicko, but maybe as a whole society has to slow down a little, get back to basics. Sorry for the bummer subject.

Hi Ralph,  Thanks. Just growing up on the
avenues in Verdun you see enough boobs by the age of 10 to do you for a
lifetime. But I never seen any men or women couples lock lips on the street or
on television. I would much sooner see the boob.

pop stars have lost touch with reality. They dress
like tramps and behave very badly and get away with it because they have an
army of guards to protect them every minute of the day. They forget that they
have a responsibility to the youth of today to set a good example in every facet
of life, dress, conduct, manners, etc. The problem with the industry is they
need a huge amount of attention to stay in the limelight so they get involved in
schemes to get that attention whatever the cost. The person that we really need
to be concerned with is Brittany Spears. Man she is completely out of
control. This is one scary individual. Having said that you have to wonder about
the media who live for every breath they take and sensationalize everything they
do.

Hey Bim,

I think Janet did it just for the publicity. She has a new cd being released and her last ones haven't done that well lately. Like they say, any publicity is good publicity!

Hey Al, How ya doin,  I am just having a ball reading all the boob stuff. Just glad I am not a kid anymore. It was hard enough when we were kids to grow up with peace signs and long hair, really fast cars and much less policing and not as many stop checks. Now they pop a boob to get attention or kiss the next person that looks into their eyes nomatter if their boy or girl. Not to mention that boys and girls both wear G-strings. God and my son is only 11years old. I can remember my father almost having a heart attack when my sister bought a pair of slacks that had a zipper in the front and not the side or back. Can't wait to see whats in the future.  Dannyb

Hi Danny,

You're not kidding when you say it's a different world! I just can't believe how much attention "Nipplegate" is getting! Not that I am a prude or anything, (I think our attendance record at some of the finer mens establishments can attest to that!) but it was just wrong. Probably more the way that Justin Timberjerk did it.. I mean to just reach over, cop a feel and rrrriiiipppp! Voila! The way some kids emulate what they see these pop idols do makes you wonder what they will start pulling next! As a father of 3 daughters, I am kind of glad that they are a bit older now... one less thing to worry about!
