Has anyone have a problem clicking the 'Map of Verdun' ? I get sent to
the MSN Groups home page every time. No big deal except I'd like to see
if there has been many changes to Verdun's layout. There might be
expressways now. I bought a 1950 Shell oil road map from eBay, which
shows the city of Montreal as I knew it. I believe many of the city
street\ names have changed over there years. Many more named in french.

Ps: This site is monitored but not actively posting on a regular basis. Mostly these are stories & some photos saved from a defunct site known as Verdun Connections which was on MSN Groups initially then on a social network called Multiply.

The Verdun I remember:
There was only one way to get to Nun's Island -- by boat. The Nuns had
a farm on the north end, and I believe the only buildings belong to
that farm. The rest of the island was forested.
Wilibrord Park consisted of a Baseball/hockey park at the bannantyne
end, a children's play ground in the middle, and a green park on the
Verdun Avenue end.
