Dionne's Anyone? LOL

Who remembers the grocery store on Verdun Ave between 6th and Desmarchais (might have been a Steinberg's at one time I think?) but at one point it was a grocery chain called Dionne's, where you had to grab a black crayon as you went in cuz there were no prices on any of the food just on tags above the food and you were supposed to mark the price on yourself? LOL Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuure most of the people wrote the RIGHT price.....suuuuuuuuuuuure they did hehehe
The place is now an IGA...prices already put on for ya! :-D

Hi Sharon, didn't know that was you until I clicked on your name and voila what happens, up pops a picture of you.  Dionne's was  also a  Steinberg for a very long time. In fact when I was a kid I lived right around the corner.  I remember that the army guys during the October crisis used to stand outside when we went in to shop.  Before you look at my profile try to guess who I am.  I have "biker" friends, I used to be your neighbour and I can't believe I didn't get an invitation (ha ha just kidding).  Your sister told me that you finally tied the knot, good for you.  Email me anytime and let me know how life is treating you............

Hi Ralph! Yep...you're absolutely right! I did it again, I meant to say that the Dionne's store I was talking about was on BANNANTYNE. But you're right again about the Steinberg's being on Verdun, it WAS the A & P that was on Bannantyne. :-) You want various addresses hehe? My Mom used to move just about every freaking year for crying out loud. Let's see if I can remember them...lol...   4537 Lasalle Blvd. 107 - 1st Ave. 165 - 4th Ave. 301 - 4th Ave. 4625 Verdun Ave. 800 - 6th Ave. 692 - 3rd Ave.   I think that's it...lol. But I stayed in Verdun even after I went out on my own...   4371 Lasalle Blvd. ???? Newmarch St. 92 - 5th Ave. ???? Wellington St. (between 5th and 6th)   Am I a VERDUNITE or WHAT?? hehe Luv, Sharon

Hey Ralph;
I remember you from school. You used to date Brenda Strike. Remember her
brother Peter, he used to date Cynthia Wallace? Well, I work with Cynthia's
daughter and saw Cynthia the other day. I was bugging her about her and
Peter being in the stairs near the choir room every day at lunch. How are
you? Do you still live in Quebec? Canada?
